The FUE procedure usually takes half a day to a day, depending on the scale of the procedure, and follows the steps below:
1. Anaesthetic and Extraction
The donor area is cleaned with an antiseptic solution and then numbed with anaesthetic before the surgeon begins extracting the hair follicles. Each hair follicle is extracted individually from the donor area with a pen and then stored in a special solution that preserves them for implantation.
2. Hair Graft Inspection
Every individual hair graft will be examined under a microscope and we will use only the best and most suitable hair grafts. This ensures the quality and survivability of the hair grafts.
3. Planning and Implantation
After inspection and selection of the hair grafts, the Doctor will plan how to nest position the grafts such that the appearance of the transplant is as natural as possible. We will consider factors such as the angle, direction and distribution of the grafts. When the distribution plan has been decided, the hair grafts are then implanted onto the balding areas.
4.Recovery
After the hair transplant surgery, you may have some swelling at the donor area and across the forehead for a few days. Your doctor will provide you with aftercare advice to ensure the success of your hair transplant.
