What is Profhilo? (逆時針)
Profhilo, commonly lauded as an “injectable moisturiser” that smooths fine lines and wrinkles, is a bio-remodelling injectable that contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid (HA), 5x more HA than traditional Skinboosters. Apart from its high concentration, the HA used in Profhilo is also unique as it does not have the usual cross-linking, allowing Profhilo to be self-distributing without forming any lumps.
Due to ageing, our body’s natural ability to produce hyaluronic acid depletes gradually, resulting in wrinkled, dry and lacklustre skin. Profhilo is injected beneath the skin, commonly on the face and neck, to achieve the “remodelling” effects of a younger, brighter complexion.

How Does Profhilo Work?
Profhilo is designed for individuals with dry, saggy skin that lacks “bounce” by delivering an instant boost of hydration and increasing production of both collagen and elastin. As opposed to filling up specific areas which lack volume, Profhilo improves overall skin quality that results in:
- Glowy, hydrated and youthful skin
- Firmer, tighter, and bouncier skin
- Smooth skin with improved fine lines and wrinkles
Profhilo uses a pure grade form of HA free from additives to give a scaffolding effect to skin tissues. Using a patented thermal cross-linked technology, Profhilo binds high and low molecular weight HA together to form complexes, which lasts for a longer period of time compared to non-crosslinked HA. Fat stem cells and fibroblasts are stimulated to bio-remodel old skin tissue and produce new collagen and elastin in the dermis for better elasticity and support. The following are achieved:
- Provides volume without lumps to the area injected
- Boosts hydration (5X more HA than skin boosters)
- Stimulates 4 types of collagen production
- Stimulates elastin production to improve laxity
This technology also removes the need to add synthetic cross-linking agents present in most cross-linked dermal fillers to enhance stability, while still giving structure for bio-remodelling to take place. Combined with the natural hydrating effects of HA, Profhilo rejuvenates the skin for patients to have a firmer, smoother and more youthful appearance.

While Profhilo can be used in almost all areas for skin rejuvenation, most common areas are:

Why Profhilo has minimal pain
Unlike Skinboosters or Rejuran that have a great many injection points, Profhilo’s self-distributing nature allows for only around 5 injection points on each side of the face with very fine needles in order to deliver the HA underneath the skin. The Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) are the chosen injection points due to their safety in the absence of large, critical vessels and nerve branches.
The unique structure of Profhilo allows it to spread evenly and extensively with minimal risks of lump formation during downtime. It takes only around 10 minutes to inject Profhilo to the whole face.
