INFINI and INTENSIF Skin Tightening

Infini/Intensif is safe for patients with a darker skin tone because radiofrequency waves do not target pigmented cells. It is generally considered safe for all skin types.

Infini/Intensif can be used on all the parts of the body provided that the right settings are used in accordance with the depth of the area being treated. The procedure done in the chest and neck area can be combined with a facial treatment. The treatment has also been used to treat sagging arm skin, stretch marks, and abdominal scars from surgery.

Some degree of pain is usually felt during this procedure, but is managed with the application of a topical anesthetic. Patients have reported discomfort on areas where the skin is closer to the bone, such as the cheekbones, jawline, and forehead. Patients with a lower pain tolerance might want to avoid treatment on these areas. Pain felt during the procedure gradually subsides after.

Skin discoloration (redness) and swelling may occur over the treated area after the procedure. These are temporary and will be gone in a few days.

A doctor that has extensive experience in performing the procedure can complete an Infini/Intensif treatment for the face and the neck in an hour. The face usually takes 45 minutes to complete, with an additional 15 minutes to cover the neck area.

The side effects (e.g. redness, swelling) of the procedure can take about a day and a half to clear. In some rare cases, the side effects may take slightly longer than a few days.

Topical creams are prescribed for patients to use after treatment. Because the skin is very sensitive during the recovery period, patients are advised to avoid sun exposure at all times during this time. Makeup may be applied a day after the treatment. Extra care should be taken when touching the skin. Ensure that anything that comes in contact with the skin is clean.

Unfortunately, the results are temporary and the longevity of its effects varies between patients. Generally, the collagen produced can last up to 7 years. Production of collagen may also be different per person depending on factors like the patient’s overall skin health, lifestyle, age, and daily exposure to the sun. Repeat treatments of Infini/Intensif may be recommended by the doctor in order to maintain the results consistently.

The number of treatments will differ based on the goals that a patient wants to achieve. Some patients feel that one treatment is enough. If you want to get optimum results, 3 full treatments of Infini/Intensif is recommended. For improvement of acne scars, at least 3 to a maximum of 6 treatments is advisable.

It is recommended that subsequent Infini/Intensif treatments be performed after an interval of 3 to 4 weeks. Treatment results are not affected even in the case you are unable to do the treatments within the set intervals.
