ULTRAFORMER 3 HIFU FACE LIFT
Saggy cheeks, wrinkles and fine lines on our neck and hands become common as we age. As our faces lose collagen and volume over time, the effects of gravity on our less voluminous face pulls it downwards. The loss of volume combined with drier skin also results in creases that appear as fine lines and wrinkles.
The Ultraformer is handpicked by Dr Chua and uses High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound to treat common aging effects.
Unlike other HIFU facelifts, it does NOT involve heating the top layer of skin, resulting in a more comfortable and effective treatment. The Ultraformer is able to:
- Provide immediate lift
- Melt fat under the skin
- Tightens loose skin
ULTRAFORMER HIFU TREATMENT & RECOVERY
Each Ultraformer HIFU session takes around 30-90 mins to perform. Treatment is done under basic numbing cream. There are NO NEEDLES, NO IMPLANTS and NO SURGERIES required.
Results are visible immediately although individual results may vary. Collagen stimulated during the session will also result in very gradual improvement over 4-6 weeks.
VERITAS currently uses the Ultraformer 3 machine which leaves no bruising and has 0 downtime. Patients can walk out of the clinic immediately after treatment and resume normal activities.
30-90 MINS FOR RESULTS
NO HEAT ON SKIN SURFACE
NO NEEDLES, IMPLANTS OR SURGERY
NO BRUISING OR SWELLING
What kind of technology does Ultraformer use?
The Ultraformer delivers High Intensity Ultrasound (HIFU) with a higher peak power than previous devices to target specific points in the skin. This creates firm and quick coagulation zones. The coagulating effect causes quick muscle contraction in the SMAS layer, 4.5 mm deep into the skin, which results in the immediate tightening of the skin. At the same time, regeneration of new collagen is initiated in the upper layers of the skin (around 1.5 and 3.0 mm in depth), which is a continuous process for the next three months after treatment.
What does Ultrasound therapy do?
It deposits focused ultrasound energy underneath the skin’s surface to stimulate the natural process of creating new collagen. This results in a lift and improved tone over time.
Who is a good candidate for the treatment?
This treatment is appropriate for those with loose, sagging, wrinkled or uneven skin around their eyes, lids, mouth, and nasolabial folds (the area between your nose and mouth). It can also be used for sagging skin on the jawline, neck, and other areas of the body with skin laxity.
The Ultraformer is a reliable choice for patients who prefer a non-surgical approach to addressing skin aging but who are not too keen on the prolonged downtime associated with surgical procedures.
What areas can be treated?
The Ultraformer addresses mild to moderate sagging by working from within. The usual areas targeted during treatment include the cheeks and lower face to obtain that lifting effect of the entire area. It can lift the brow area, reduce hooding of the lids to open up the eyes more, and ultimately give the patient a refreshed look. Furthermore, the Ultraformer can also be used to target hard-to-treat areas such as the neck and face, which usually don’t respond readily to traditional treatments.
Are there any contraindications?
The Ultraformer should not be applied over areas that are injected with dermal fillers, which is why timing is necessary with other treatments. It shouldn’t be used over facial implants, as well.
How is the Ultraformer different from Lasers?
Lasers specifically address problems of the superficial layers of the skin (e.g. fine lines, wrinkles, pigment changes). Meanwhile, the Ultraformer addresses the deeper skin layers, and even the foundational layer addressed in cosmetic surgery to provide lift and support. Instead of pitting these two treatments against each other, they should actually be allowed to complement each other.
Can Ultrafomer replace facelift surgery?
No non-invasive treatment can replace the effects of surgery. The Ultraformer serves as a viable option for those who are not yet ready to undergo surgery.
Is Ultraformer safe?
The device has demonstrated a good safety margin in clinical studies. Ultrasound energy in general has a proven record of having been in use in the field of medicine for over five decades.
How long does the treatment take?
A full-face treatment can take up to an hour, while a partial face or brow lift treatment can take around 30 minutes.
Is there any downtime?
The treatment allows you to return to your daily activities immediately afterwards. Any special reminders or instructions will be given to you by the doctor to ensure that results progress as expected.
Is the treatment painful?
One may experience temporary numbness, tingling or redness after treatment. These sensations are generally tolerable.
How long until one can see results?
The initial effects may be observed after treatment, but lifting and toning will continue to improve within 2-3 months. The treatment triggers a process of collagen repair and regeneration, which is why you can expect gradual changes.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
Majority of the patients need only one treatment session; however, some may benefit from more than one session. This will depend on extent of skin laxity and their individual response to treatment and the resulting collagen-building process. It is also important to note that results vary for each patient.
How long do results last?
Those who have undergone the treatment continued to experience the results for a year following the procedure. As the aging process continues at a rate that varies for each individual, you can go for touchup treatments to keep pace.
How much does the procedure cost?
The cost of the procedure depends on the areas that need to be targeted during treatment. This means that a more specific quotation can be obtained after a thorough evaluation of the patient’s case.
