HIKO NOSE THREAD
Are you unsatisfied with the shape of your nose? What exactly is a ‘perfect’ nose? Well, for most people, the ideal nose has a high nose bridge/tip that is sharp and defined, and most importantly, in proportion with the face. Due to genetic reasons, some individuals are born with noses that have a wider tip and a shorter/flatter nose bridge. Some turn to Rhinoplasty (nose job) to achieve their desired nose, but many are afraid to go under the knife.
Hiko surgical fee
With HIKO nose threads, nose jobs can be done without a huge surgical fee or the usual surgical risks. It is also known as the “lunchtime nose job” as the entire process can be completed within 20 minutes. This procedure is performed by Dr Chua Cheng Yu, who is a trainer in the region. Even though this procedure is non-invasive, it requires the right knowledge and skilful technique which Dr Chua possesses. He ensures that the nose thread treatment is done safely and to the patient’s satisfaction.
TREATMENT PROCESS AND BENEFITS
Local anesthesia is applied at the tip of the nose after the area has been cleansed. PDO (Polydioxanone) threads are then inserted through the nasal tip and brought under the soft tissue of the nose. Once the threads are inserted, it immediately contours, shape and lifts the nose. Typically, around 4 to 8 threads are inserted to achieve the desired height, definition and projection. The PDO threads dissolve overtime and stimulate the regeneration of collagen which results in tightening of the skin around the nose area. Generally, the effects of nose threads can last about a year or two for most patients.
The benefits of the treatment include:
- A higher, straighter, sharper and natural-looking nose bridge
- A lifted and sharper nose tip

Who are the suitable candidates for this procedure?
The HIKO nose thread lift is suitable for anyone who has not undergone Rhinoplasty. It is also an ideal option for those who wish to enhance their noses without having to undergo a nose surgery.
Is the procedure painful?
Local anesthesia is applied prior to the procedure to ensure comfort of the patients. Most patients do not feel any pain but only a slight pressure when the threads are being inserted.
How long does the procedure take?
The entire procedure can be completed within 20 minutes, which is why it is also called the “lunch time nose job”.
How long is the downtime for this procedure?
The local anesthesia may cause mild swelling which wears off within a few hours. There are no activity restrictions after a Hiko nose threadlift hence you can resume your daily activities after the procedure. Make up can be used to conceal any redness or swelling.
Should I go for nose threads or nose fillers?
Fillers are excellent for volume/height of your nose bridge and tip, as well as precise correction of any bumpy or curved defects while nose thread lifts are amazing for definition and tip projection. They are also more rigid than nose fillers (almost like an in-between fillers and surgical implants). In other words, both nose fillers and threads are useful in their own right. Which to use really depends on your concerns, as well as your skin quality.

How long will the results last?
PDO threads are absorbable within 6-12 months, sometimes even longer. The absorption stimulates the soft tissue of the nose to produce its own collagen and connective tissues along the PDO fibres’ path to replace the PDO fibres. This results in the continued improvement of the profile of the nose. The effect could last about a year or two for most patients.
How many sessions will I need?
One session is sufficient to give you the results you desire. However, if you want to maintain the desired effects, you can always come back for another session after 1-2 years.
The outcome of the procedure is dependent on the type and number of threads used rather than the number of sessions.
What can be done to hasten recovery?
A cold compress can be applied gently over the area to minimize swelling and bruising.
