Eva Cheah’s PURE Facial Experience at Veritas Medical Aesthetics
How do you deal with dry skin in Singapore?
Eva: I actually have dry skin and have been suffering from that for many years. In terms of the makeup that I use, it is a lot of trial and error, because the makeup is supposed to give me coverage but sometimes, I end up not getting the result and in fact it causes me to have break outs.
What is the cause of dry skin?
Dr. Chua: So a lot of people actually use skincare wrongly, that is the top reason why I see a lot of people with dry skin at my clinic. They come in and are doing things like using Vitamin A two times a day when it is supposed to be a nightly affair.
What can we do about dry skin?
Dr. Chua: Certainly by taking a fast step in seeing a doctor and have skincare looked into having your skin type properly diagnosed is already a start of treatment. If it is more of a bothersome problem, we use a hydrating facial called PureFacial to help with that. This essentially solves a lot of the etiologies of dry skin, it replaces a bit of the hyaluronic acid back into the skin, as well as gently exfoliating with both a mechanical as well as a chemical function on the top layer of the dead skin.
How was the experience?
Eva: To be honest, I don’t expect to resolve my ten years issue in just one facial. So today, I am actually surprised by the results that I am seeing, and I want to try again to see more improvement on my skin condition.
Advice for someone like you who has persistent dry skin?
Eva: So, I would think that the best thing to do would be to seek professional advice from a trustworthy doctor, instead of trying your own products or your own facials and end up wasting a lot of money.
Finding someone whom you can trust, who will guide you on what’s to be done to improve your skin condition is very important.
