A common mistake most make is to rely on a single pigmentation laser, such as the Q-switch Pico laser. While Pico laser can target pigmentation effectively, it can only do so for pigmentation limited to one layer of skin, resulting in unsatisfactory results and may lead to adverse side effects like hypopigmentation.
To permanently and effectively treat dark underarms, a combination of lasers is required.

A fractional laser treatment that targets all layers of the skin, one fraction at a time, similar to enhancing images pixel by pixel. This allows us to work on both the epidermal and dermal layer of the skin, effectively clearing the pigmentation.
Topical products may be prescribed for the underarms. These products are gentle yet effective at lightening pigmentation to avoid further darkening of the area from irritation.
